As Sir David Attenborough once said: “No one will protect what they don’t care about; and no one will care about what they have never experienced.” This quote fuels our vision. We believe that to preserve this beloved hobby, we must first invite people into its world—offering them a chance to see, feel, and connect with the wonder of model trains.

Many people have never encountered the artistry and engineering behind model railroading. That’s where we come in. Festival of Trains is designed to captivate newcomers and seasoned enthusiasts alike—showcasing the beauty, intricacy, and storytelling power of miniature locomotives and landscapes.

We don’t expect every guest to become a lifelong modeler. But we do hope they leave with a spark of appreciation and a sense of care for this unique craft. Our goal is to create unforgettable experiences that inspire curiosity, joy, and connection.

Our debut event took place in Oklahoma City on April 13–14, 2024, at the OKC Fairgrounds. It was a celebration of creativity, community, and pure fun—and just the beginning of what’s to come.

We’re actively planning shows in new markets across the country. Each location will be tailored to local interests—whether that means larger exhibitions or more intimate gatherings. We take a fresh, innovative approach to outreach. Yes, we’ll use traditional advertising—but we’re also investing in bold, family-friendly experiences that draw people in. At Festival of Trains, your admission ticket unlocks unlimited train rides and full access to the show—a major difference from other events that charge extra once you’re inside.

We know that for our vendors to thrive, we need to fill the room with excited, engaged guests. That’s why we’re going the extra mile to ensure every visitor feels their time and money were well spent—especially in today’s economy.
